I’m Douglas HOWELL. I’m 51, he/him, British, and mildly obsessed with anime. Maybe not “mildly”, now I think about it. I’ve been interested in anime since before I knew what it was. Or what “Japan” was, to be honest.

But I’m also a completionist. So I’m going to watch it all – every subtitled anime that I can stream in the UK, in release order. It seemed like a good idea when I started, and then I found out that Japanese animation went a lot further back than I thought it did.

I’ll be mixing various cultural naming conventions throughout this blog, everyone’s family name will appear in BLOCK CAPITALS. Including mine.
